What i like best is the location, few distance from gran via, and close to metro station.
The hotels claim the mini kitchen is equip with microwave, but there was none. and the corners ot the bathroom is not that cleaned.
The room had a terrific view on Plaza de Espana and the Royal Palace
The location,clean room,value for money,close to metro!
Check in was bad!about 30 minutes to check in.the receptionists and the staff does not speak english.no habla ingles
Great location and huge apartment.
Bed was very hard and unconfortable.
Staff was very nice. General location - see dislikes.
Very outdated facility. Only Spanish tv and then 1990 19" tube tv's that you can barely see, Rooms look like leftover from 1980. no Coffee maker, microwave. No ac in hallways so summer will be hot. Area hotel is located in is central but the block it's on is very cruddy. Have to walk left or right for about 3-400 ft to get past this bad stuff. Would not recommend to american tourist who cannot speak spanish, Internet is additional 12.5 euro / day which is ridiculous in this day and age, especially for a hotel with these lackluster features.
Great, big room. Comfortable beds. Perfect location. Useful desk workers.
Only that the air conditioning isn't too efficient, but not a problem overall.
good location, clean and comfortable; the kitchen is a plus!
Location great - very close to Plaza de Espana. Walking distance to attractions.
One receptionist did not say that the other receptionist was taking copies of our passports first, (and quite slowly!), so waited while the first receptionist punched numbers into a calculator for 10 minutes wondering what was going on. Very confusing.
The location is the only nice thing about this hotel.
They charge you for the location (facing Plaza de Espana), but they have completely unnatended the quality of the rooms & in-suite kitchen corner (carpets are dirty, kitchen is very old, mattres worn and very uncomfortable, same for the pillows). Furniture is embarrasing: no bed side tables, only wodden boxes poorly painted as "side tables".. very old, small, bad quality TV. Heating was excesive. I had to turn it off completely (it was mid Feb) and leave the window open over night. Garage in the basement is scary (very dark, difficult access, old), and very expensive.
The staff is friendly and helpful and location is quite good
There are lots of Spanish tourists staying in the hotel and considering normal to speak and laugh loudly and produce lots of noise during the night time. They respect only themselves and dispise the other nation people who came to explore the city and have early wake-ups in the morning. It is necessary to have either good sound isolation in the rooms or provide a kind of schedule respecting time for the normal night sleep if the hotel authorities are ready for improvements and willing to attract guests.
The staff was very friendly. They helped us find different sights in the city.
It is centrally located and it is easy to reach.
Its immediate surroundings are shabby and unpleasant to walk through.
Nice hotel in a good position with a low price. The room was very large and comfortable and with conditioned air.
We were very lucky because we had a room on the ten floor... Great view! The hotel is near the centre of the city with the metro and bus stop in 10m, near to the 'Gran via' with a lot of shops and fast food, and also near to the real palace. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was kind but there's a fault...none speaks english, only spanish!
We had a nice time at thsis hotel. The only thing that we were not so happy was the AC. It was not enough for the size of the apartment. Other than that it was great!
